Ecosystem Unit Objectives

1. Understand and describe trophic levels.
2. Give examples of terrestrial and marine food webs.
3. Be able to use terminology correctly; primary producers, primary and secondary consumers, hetrotrophs, autotrophs, detrivores.
4. Track energy flow in an ecosystem and describe energy losses.
5. Understand and describe biogeochemical cycles including those for water, carbon and nitrogen.
